Marika is a versatile and comprehensive production designer – she roams freely within many different styles and genres, always with an absolute tonality within the universe of the given framework. All she undertakes bears the traces of her unique signature, an absolute credibility mixed with a high and unmistakable style. She understands the importance of storytelling. Through her sceneries she captures the small details and references that tells a whole life story. What drives Marika is the idea that there’s always more to a project than one might think, you can always go deeper. With great care for details – where nothing is left by chance or forgotten, and regardless of lack of time, she always impresses. Educated at Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art, Stockholm University and Beckmans College of Design, she has developed her career into working with feature film and theatre.
