Mikael Lindström is a highly focused and versatile cinematographer known for his ability to work seamlessly with a team and bring a director's vision to life on screen. With over twenty years of experience in the film and television industry, Lindström has established a reputation for his responsiveness and flexibility in regards to all other department’s needs.
Once he was introduced to Charlie Chaplin's movie The Goldrush as a kid, he was hooked. He moved from hometown Nyköping to Stockholm at the age 19 and started working at Cinemateket and Svenska Filminstitutet, assessing old movie copies of classical films. Lindström later started working as 1st AC before moving on to bigger things.
Lindström is very fond of hand-held cameras and naturalistic light to create the right amount of elevated naturalism, but is of course not limited to that and can adapt any situation and equipment for the story. The location's setting and mood are also great inspirations for how to create the absolute best basis for the story told.
