Pauline Hansson, born and raised in Gothenburg has been Stockholm based since 2011. She has studied journalism, media and communication. Her first feature film as a casting director was the highly acclaimed drama ”Tjuvheder” (Drifted) which won numerous awards. Critics described the cast as all through brilliantly and painfully authentic. Pauline has had an ongoing cooperation with Swedish director Ruben Östlund since they first met onThe Square (winner of Palme d’Or at Cannes Film festival 2017). She continued working with Peter Grönlund (Tjuvheder) on his second feature Goliat where two of the actors were nominated in the same category – best actor in a leading role - at the film prize Guldbaggen 2019. Not a very common thing to occur.

Pauline’s usp when working is thinking outside the box when it comes to looks, origin and experience for the role. She often mixes amateurs with well established actors to achieve a high level of credibility. She works very close with her director, always keen to figure out how she/he thinks in order to make their team work as smooth as possible. Even though Pauline’s main focus has been drama, she has also worked with comedy series and she does a whole lot of casting for commercials. With her sharp instinct and her courage to go for the unexpected she has been an outstanding part of the recent years most talked about films.
